Not all medical cannabis clinics offer the same level of care and service to their patients.
Our consultants are dedicated to improving the lives of their patients. This includes offering a service that is fair and affordable so that patients suffering with severe chronic conditions are not prevented from accessing the care that they need.
We’re proud to have been recognised as the most affordable medical cannabis clinic in the UK, according to MedBud.wiki’s comparison of UK clinics. It’s an accolade that we will strive to maintain whilst continuing to offer a premium healthcare service.
CB1 Medical was established by a specialist team of consultant clinicians at the largest NHS primary care service in the Midlands, an award-winning practice which is currently serving over 65,000 patients.
Our experienced team has continued to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback and we find it so rewarding to hear about your stories and your experience with medical cannabis. We now have the most reviews and the highest overall rating on Google out of all the cannabis clinics in the UK.
CB1 Medical is unique in being able to access your medical records instantly upon receiving your consent. This saves you the frustration of having to wait for weeks to get access to our service and begin your treatment.
With all other private cannabis clinics, patients must supply a Summary Care Record and a list of prescriptions before they can be offered treatment. These can only be obtained from a GP and some patients can wait up to 2 months to receive their records.
We’re proud to have been recognised as the most affordable medical
cannabis clinic in the UK, according to rankings on MedBud.wiki.

After years of suffering from anxiety and contemplating applying for medicinal cannabis, I finally took the leap after reading the stellar reviews of CB1 Clinic. I couldn’t be happier with my decision, as my experience has been nothing short of first-class.
Initially, I encountered a slight issue during my initial consultation. However, when I raised my concerns with Tanya, the patient services manager, I was met with a truly patient-centric approach that made me feel genuinely heard and valued. Tanya promptly arranged another appointment with the doctor to address my concerns, and everything was resolved within the week. Tanya is an invaluable asset to CB1 Clinic, perfectly embodying the essence of her role with grace and efficiency.
After years of having to source cannabis through the black market, I’m glad to now be working with professionals as a legal patient and not having to deal with the anxieties that come with breaking the law just so I can function in daily life. Everyone I’ve spoken with at CB1 Clinic has made that transition seamless for me, and this is life-changing. Roll on next week when I get my first prescription!
I am extremely satisfied with the service I’ve received at CB1, and I would most definitely recommend them. Every point of contact has been friendly and accommodating, contrary to the apprehensions my anxiety had led me to expect. I wholeheartedly recommend CB1 Clinic for anyone considering medicinal cannabis – their compassionate and professional approach truly sets them apart.

Joined the clinic over Christmas. Excellent service. Dr Simon is a lovely guy. My first assessment was really easy and relaxed. I got my cannabis flower within days.
They have an app so that makes it really simple to use. I just click my order and within cpl of days royal mail are delivering it special delivery. The pharmacy are very good, helpful and quick to answer your enquiries.
So far I’m happy with my clinic and journey into legal cannabis. I have been self medicating for 30 years. The price is similar to street dealers. Had 9 different strains and only liked a cpl but I’m quite fussy and still trying to find the strains for me and my conditions. I have chronic fatigue fibromyalgia and ADHD. So have been enjoying the sativa strains which are not always available on the streets.
I paid £50 to join and that’s it. I just pay for my flower and delivery.
One of the cheapest clinics around. (Wished they did the gap) As I’m on benefits. But hopefully one day they will. I think they are in the process of expanding their pharmacy and stocks. This seems to be increasing daily.
Keep up the good work guys 👍 thank you

Medical cannabis is a plant-based medicine which has been legal in the UK since 2018.
The active compounds in medical cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) stimulate the endocannabinoid system within the human body. This can benefit patients by helping to manage pain, improve sleep and appetite, reduce anxiety and nausea, and stabilise mood. It is therefore useful in managing symptoms for a wide range of health conditions.
Medical cannabis is an effective and sustainable alternative. It offers a personalised approach to treatment, allowing patients to choose specific strengths and delivery methods, and helping to reduce their reliance on medications with more severe and often detrimental side effects.
Yes, the use of medical cannabis within the UK was made legal on 1st November 2018.
Medical cannabis differs significantly from over-the-counter CBD products.
Medical cannabis contains controlled amounts of THC and CBD, both components are necessary for the relief of multiple medical conditions. Over-the-counter CBD products cannot legally contain more than 0.3% THC. While there is some evidence supporting the use of CBD alone for conditions such as anxiety, incorporating THC appears to be more beneficial for most conditions.
Medical cannabis can only be prescribed by Specialist Consultants who are registered with the General Medical Council and it is regulated by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency); the organisation responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and effectiveness of medicines in the UK.
In parallel, over-the-counter CBD products can be purchased without a prescription. They are not medicinal products and they are regulated by the FSA (Food Standards Agency). Studies have shown that over-the-counter CBD products are often mislabelled, with 69% not containing the amount of CBD claimed, and some products have even failed laboratory testing for heavy metals, yeast, and mould.
You will be offered an initial appointment with one of our specialist consultants and a follow-up appointment at 3 weeks. You will then need only one check-up per year going forward.
Patients will only pay one fee of £50 for their whole first year of consultations. They will then pay £50 a year for their on-going annual check-ups. Please note that your initial fee will be refunded if we decide that you are not eligible for treatment.
We are also offering free consultations for your first year if you are looking to switch from another clinic. And if you’re a Veteran or Ex-Service Personnel we are more than happy to offer all your consultations free of charge. Please speak to our team if you’d like to find out more.
Following your consultation, your case will be discussed with at least one other health professional to ensure that the recommended treatment is appropriate. This is called a multi-disciplinary team meeting (MDT), and you will be informed of the outcome the following day.
If approved for treatment, your prescription will be sent to our preferred pharmacy and they will contact you via the CB1 Medical App to arrange payment and delivery.
Medications that are in stock will be delivered within 3-5 working days. Medications that are not in stock can take up to 2 weeks to arrive.
Only a handful of patients have secured NHS prescriptions since medical cannabis was legalised in the UK.
Widespread awareness of the benefits of medical cannabis is generally still lacking and NHS practices face other barriers to prescribing, such as additional funding required to cover prescriptions. It’s likely that access to medical cannabis via the NHS will improve but progress so far has been very slow.
