Choosing between medical cannabis clinics in the UK is not always as simple as comparing the price of a first appointment.
Clinics use different pricing models. Some charge per consultation, some offer monthly or annual plans, while others provide free ongoing clinical care after an initial fee. Prescription charges, delivery and medication can also be handled differently.
There is no single medical cannabis clinic that will necessarily be right for every patient. A useful comparison needs to consider the complete treatment model rather than one headline price.
Information checked: 30 September 2026. Prices and services can change. Medication is excluded from clinic-fee comparisons unless stated otherwise.
When comparing medical cannabis clinics in the UK, look beyond the initial consultation price. A low starting fee does not necessarily mean lower long-term treatment costs.
Useful factors to compare include:
The table below compares seven UK medical cannabis clinics alphabetically. It is not a ranking.
| Clinic | Cost to start | Ongoing clinic cost | Pricing model | CQC position |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alternaleaf | £29 PAYG or £5/month | £29 per PAYG appointment or £5/month | PAYG / membership | Requires Improvement |
| CB1 Medical | £50 | £0 ongoing clinical fees | One-off initial fee | Not yet inspected |
| Can° Clinic / Cantourage | £99 onboarding | Depends on review pathway | PAYG | Good |
| Curaleaf Clinic | £30 PAYG / £5 monthly / £50 annual | Depends on selected plan | PAYG / monthly / annual | Good |
| Integro Clinics | £0 consultation | £0 consultations + £4.99 per prescription | Prescription-fee model | Not yet inspected* |
| Mamedica | From £49 onboarding | £0 after month 9 on Flex/Standard | Multiple plans | Not yet inspected* |
| Releaf | £39.99/month Releaf+ available | £39.99/month Releaf+ or PAYG | Membership / PAYG | Not yet inspected |
*The current Integro and Mamedica locations have not yet been inspected. CQC displays Good ratings from their previous registered locations as part of their regulatory history.
These figures compare clinic pricing rather than total treatment costs. Medication is separate and other charges vary between providers.
Several UK medical cannabis clinics now offer models where ongoing consultation fees can reach £0, but they achieve this in different ways.
CB1 Medical charges standard new patients £50 for an initial consultation followed by £0 ongoing clinical fees. Ongoing clinical appointments are free for life and there is no monthly or annual clinic subscription.
Mamedica states that clinic fees stop after month nine on its Flex and Standard plans. Its Access scheme also provides £0 ongoing clinic fees to eligible patients following a one-off £200 onboarding payment.
Integro Clinics advertises £0 initial and follow-up consultations. A £4.99 admin fee applies each time a prescription is issued.
Alternaleaf and Curaleaf Clinic both offer relatively low-cost PAYG and subscription models.
This is why £0 consultation fees should not automatically be interpreted as £0 non-medication treatment costs.
Looking at Year 2 can make long-term clinical costs easier to compare because initial consultation and onboarding fees have usually already been paid.
| Clinic | Plan | Estimated Year 2 clinic/service fee |
|---|---|---|
| Alternaleaf | PAYG | Approx. £58 based on two routine appointments |
| Alternaleaf | Membership | £60/year |
| CB1 Medical | Standard | £0 ongoing clinical fees |
| Can° Clinic / Cantourage | Standard | Depends on required review pathway |
| Curaleaf Clinic | Annual | £50/year |
| Curaleaf Clinic | Monthly | £60/year |
| Curaleaf Clinic | PAYG | Variable; two routine appointments would cost £60 |
| Integro Clinics | Standard | £0 consultations + £4.99 per issued prescription |
| Mamedica | Flex | £0 clinic fees after month 9 |
| Mamedica | Standard | £0 clinic fees after month 9 |
| Mamedica | Access | £0 clinic fees; eligibility restrictions apply |
| Releaf | Releaf+ | £479.88/year bundled membership* |
*Releaf+ includes follow-up consultations, prescription charges, delivery, patient support, reduced medication prices and other membership benefits. Medication itself is not included.
These figures compare published clinic/service fees rather than total treatment costs. Medication is excluded. Delivery, prescription charges and bundled services differ between clinics, so £0 clinic fees does not necessarily mean £0 non-medication costs.
Where the number or type of appointments depends on an individual treatment pathway, we have not created a fixed annual figure.
Medication is not the only additional cost to consider. Depending on the clinic and plan, delivery, prescription administration and travel documentation may either be included or charged separately.
| Clinic | Prescription / admin fees | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Alternaleaf | No separate routine charge identified | One free delivery per month |
| CB1 Medical | No separate routine prescription fee | £4.99 |
| Can° Clinic / Cantourage | Repeat prescriptions free | Split-delivery charges may apply |
| Curaleaf Clinic | No repeat-prescription admin fee | Free home delivery |
| Integro Clinics | £4.99 per prescription issued | Free UK next-day delivery advertised |
| Mamedica | Depends on plan | £9.99 Flex; one free delivery/month on Standard and Access |
| Releaf | Included with Releaf+; PAYG differs | Included with Releaf+; PAYG differs |
Travel-letter arrangements also differ. Alternaleaf and Curaleaf currently include them, while Mamedica includes them on Standard and Access but charges £10 under Flex.
Medication remains separate and depends on what is clinically prescribed.

Several UK medical cannabis clinics offer specific arrangements for existing patients who want to transfer from another provider.
| Clinic | Published transfer arrangement |
|---|---|
| Alternaleaf | No specific standard transfer discount identified |
| CB1 Medical | Free initial consultation for qualifying transfers + £0 ongoing clinical fees |
| Can° Clinic / Cantourage | £50 transfer onboarding |
| Curaleaf Clinic | First two PAYG appointments free for qualifying transfers joining the Curaleaf Access Scheme |
| Integro Clinics | £0 consultation model applies |
| Mamedica | £75 transfer onboarding; later fees depend on previous treatment duration |
| Releaf | Transfer pathway available; check current terms |
CB1’s current transfer pathway removes the standard £50 initial consultation fee for qualifying patients, with ongoing clinical appointments then remaining free.
Curaleaf also currently offers a transfer incentive: qualifying PAYG patients joining its Access Scheme can receive their first two appointments free when the required discharge information is provided.
Transfer eligibility and requirements differ between providers, so check the current terms before switching clinics.
Google reviews can provide useful insight into patient experiences, but both the star rating and number of reviews should be considered. A rating based on thousands of reviews represents a different volume of patient feedback from the same rating based on a much smaller number.
| Clinic | Google rating | Google reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Alternaleaf UK | 4.6/5 | 1,884 |
| CB1 Medical Cannabis Clinic | 4.5/5 | 991 |
| Cantourage Cannabis Clinic | 4.1/5 | 121 |
| Curaleaf Clinic | 4.7/5 | 3.1k* |
| Integro Clinics | 4.1/5 | 197 |
| Mamedica | 4.3/5 | 838 |
| Releaf Medical Cannabis Clinic | 4.6/5 | 220 |
Google review data checked: 30 September 2026. Ratings and review counts were recorded from the Google Business Profile displayed for each clinic and can change over time. *Google displayed Curaleaf’s review volume as 3.1k rather than an exact count.
At the time of checking, Curaleaf displayed the highest Google rating among the clinics compared at 4.7/5 and the largest review volume at approximately 3.1k reviews. Alternaleaf and Releaf both displayed ratings of 4.6/5, although Alternaleaf had a substantially larger review volume.
Google reviews are only one part of comparing a clinic. Patient feedback should be considered alongside costs, included services, regulatory history and individual clinical requirements.
CQC inspection history provides another way to compare healthcare providers, but “not yet inspected” is not a CQC rating.
| Clinic | Current CQC position |
|---|---|
| Alternaleaf / Montu Winnersh | Requires Improvement |
| CB1 Medical | Current service not yet inspected |
| Can° Clinic / Cantourage | Good |
| Curaleaf Clinic | Good overall; Outstanding for Well-led |
| Integro Clinics | Current location not yet inspected; previous location rated Good |
| Mamedica | Current location not yet inspected; previous location rated Good |
| Releaf | Current service not yet inspected |
Not yet inspected is not a CQC rating and should not be interpreted as better or worse than a rated service.
For example, CB1 Medical’s current CQC service was registered on 22 January 2026 and has not yet been inspected.
Curaleaf Clinic is currently rated Good overall, with Outstanding for Well-led in its latest assessment.
The Winnersh location operated by Montu Group UK Ltd, which trades as Alternaleaf, is currently rated Requires Improvement.
Patients can check registered providers directly through the Care Quality Commission.
CB1 Medical’s standard pricing model is relatively simple: standard new patients pay £50 for their initial consultation followed by £0 ongoing clinical fees, with no monthly or annual clinic subscription.
That does not necessarily mean CB1 will have the lowest total treatment cost for every patient.
Integro currently advertises £0 consultations but applies a £4.99 admin fee per prescription issued. Mamedica’s Flex and Standard plans reach £0 clinic fees after month nine, while its Access scheme provides £0 ongoing clinic fees to eligible patients following its one-off onboarding payment.
Alternaleaf and Curaleaf both offer low-cost subscription and PAYG options. Releaf+ has a higher annual membership cost but bundles follow-up consultations, prescription charges, delivery and additional services.
There are also differences in regulatory history. CB1’s current CQC service has not yet been inspected. Curaleaf and Cantourage have current Good overall ratings, while Mamedica and Integro display Good ratings from previous registered locations. Alternaleaf’s Winnersh location is currently rated Requires Improvement.
Patients should therefore compare total costs, included services, patient feedback, regulatory history and their individual clinical requirements rather than choosing a clinic from one headline fee.
CB1 charges £0 ongoing clinical fees after its initial consultation. Mamedica’s Flex and Standard plans reach £0 clinic fees after month nine, while Integro advertises £0 consultations but charges £4.99 per issued prescription.
Integro currently advertises £0 consultations. Alternaleaf offers £29 PAYG appointments or £5/month membership, Curaleaf offers £30 PAYG or low-cost subscription options, and CB1’s standard initial consultation is £50.
Check exactly what each plan includes. Releaf+, for example, combines follow-up consultations, prescription charges and delivery into its monthly membership. Curaleaf’s current plans include home delivery, repeat-prescription administration and travel letters.
The Google profiles checked on 30 September 2026 ranged from 4.1/5 to 4.7/5. Review volume also varied considerably, from 121 reviews for Cantourage to approximately 3.1k for Curaleaf. Reviews can provide useful insight into patient experiences but should not replace clinical or regulatory considerations.
Curaleaf and Cantourage currently have published Good overall CQC ratings. Other providers have current locations awaiting inspection, while Alternaleaf’s Winnersh location is currently rated Requires Improvement.
Compare transfer schemes separately from standard new-patient prices. CB1 currently offers qualifying transfers a free initial consultation followed by free ongoing clinical care, while Curaleaf, Can° and Mamedica also advertise specific transfer arrangements.
Information checked: 30 September 2026
Pricing was checked against each clinic’s own published pricing information. CQC information was checked directly against Care Quality Commission records. Google ratings and review volumes were checked directly through the Google Business Profile displayed for each clinic.
Medication is excluded from clinic-fee comparisons because prescribed products and quantities vary between patients.
Where clinics offer multiple payment options, significant plans are shown separately rather than selecting the option that makes a provider appear cheaper or more expensive.
Some plans bundle services such as delivery, travel letters or prescription charges, so clinic fees alone should not be interpreted as the total cost of treatment.
No clinic has paid for inclusion. Clinics are displayed alphabetically rather than ranked.
Costs vary considerably. Some clinics charge per appointment, while others use monthly subscriptions, annual plans or one-off fees. Medication is normally charged separately, so both initial and ongoing costs should be compared.
CB1 Medical currently charges £0 for ongoing clinical care after the initial consultation. Mamedica’s Flex and Standard plans state that clinic fees stop after month nine. Integro advertises £0 consultations but charges a £4.99 admin fee when a prescription is issued.
CB1 Medical charges standard new patients a one-off £50 initial consultation. Ongoing clinical appointments and clinical care are then free for life. Medication and delivery are charged separately.
No. CB1 Medical’s ongoing clinical appointments are free after the initial consultation. There is no monthly or annual clinic subscription.
Transfer costs vary between clinics. CB1 currently offers qualifying transfers a free initial consultation followed by free ongoing clinical care. Curaleaf, Can° and Mamedica also currently advertise specific transfer arrangements.
Some do and some do not. Alternaleaf currently offers £5/month membership, Curaleaf offers £5/month and Releaf+ costs £39.99/month. CB1 does not charge a monthly or annual clinic subscription.
Usually not. Medication is generally charged separately and depends on the product, formulation and quantity prescribed. Some plans include services such as delivery or prescription administration, but this does not mean the medication itself is included.
There is no single answer that applies to every patient. Initial fees, ongoing appointments, prescriptions, delivery, medication and individual treatment requirements can all affect total cost. Comparing the complete treatment pathway is more useful than comparing one headline price.
Compare initial and ongoing clinic fees, medication costs, prescription charges, delivery, appointment frequency, transfer and access schemes, patient reviews and CQC inspection history. Your individual clinical needs and suitability for treatment are also important.
CB1 Medical charges standard new patients £50 for an initial consultation, followed by free ongoing clinical care for life. Qualifying transfers and eligible Veterans can receive their initial consultation free.
The £50 initial consultation fee is refunded if CB1’s clinical team determines that you are not suitable for treatment.
Price is only one factor when choosing a clinic. Treatment must also be clinically appropriate based on your condition, medical history, previous treatments and individual circumstances.
